CHARACTER INFORMATION
NAME: Claudia Donovan
CANON: Warehouse 13
CANON POINT: 3x11, Emily Lake
ARRIVAL TYPE: Accidental
IC USERNAME: knocknock
HISTORY: Wiki
PERSONALITY: On the surface, Claudia is a bright and chatty young woman who always has a snappy quip at the ready or can almost always seem to relate a situation to something in the wide world of pop culture. She's creative and that bleeds into her interest in science and computers and the inventions she makes are the best example of that creativity in action.
There's a wide breadth of curiosity in Claudia, a need for information, and as such she reads a lot in her spare time. She is also, in addition to her inventor title, a highly skilled hacker-- she did manage to hack her way into a top secret facility's mainframe by tracking the large, inexplicable energy use to the Warehouse. She loves to learn new things and eagerly seeks out new ways to apply what she learns.
Her creations are the best expression of who she is, but Claudia has a style all her own which is some strange mix of regular and steam punk alike as well as bright colors and pop culture. She also sometimes wears streaks of wildly colored extensions in her hair just for another added layer of flair. She likes what she likes and she doesn't give much of a damn if anyone else does.
Despite all of her upbeat and bright sides of her personality, Claudia certainly has her insecurities. She has lost a lot of people in her life and the idea of having to go through that again terrifies her, so she can also be a bit clingy at times. With people, Claudia is a bit awkward. She's good at exuberant chats about common ground interests, but if the conversation takes a shift for the serious, she's more likely to start closing up than she is to do a lot of sharing of her own. She's a private person in a lot of ways and it can take a bit for her to truly warm up to someone new. Once she gets over those anxiety hurdles, she has an almost completely unwavering loyalty. Her friends are her family and she does her best to not let them down and will go out of her way to do whatever she can to protect them.
Coming from a time in her life when she has suffered another brutal and important loss, Claudia is likely to be more closed off and quiet than she usually would be upon arrival in the Clock. However, with time and help as she connects to more people, she'll come back out of her shell again and ease back into her usual snarky, upbeat self.
INVENTORY:This outfit Tesla Gun The "Tesla" is an electrically based handgun invented by and named after Nikola Tesla, as an alternative to bullets. Warehouse Agents use this as a stunning device which simultaneously erases short-term memory. The highest setting will turn the target to ash.
CHANGES: While the history on the Wiki mentions an older sister named Claire, that was a piece of information that was shoved into a later season and had never once been referenced to before that. Given her canon point is from before that was mentioned, I run with the canon knowledge up to that point -- Which is to say that she has an older brother, Joshua, and no other siblingsbecause Claire was clearly just a plot device and that was a headspinny retcon/addition that didn't make a ton of sense.

TWO: Pete was being weird and avoidant and refused to tell her or Myka what was wrong. She was determined to find out for herself, and nothing and no one was going to stop her. Claudia tears her way up the stairs of the abandoned hangar, with no clue what she's about to find when she throws the door open.
The scream that rips from her is heard, echoing throughout the hangar as she comes face-to-face with the dead body of her best friend. She crumbles to the ground next to him and the rest is a bit of a grief-stricken blur as she vows to find a way to bring him back, refuses to lose another person she loves.
It's only later, when she's found some kind of center, and she's preparing to leave with Pete and Myka that she finds herself...elsewhere entirely. With only the clothes on her back and the Tesla gun gripped tightly in her hand, Claudia glances around what appears to be a mansion of the highest order, decked to the gills with statues, art, and a lot of things that look like they cost more than her entire month's rent. She's on guard, the footsteps of her boots echoing in the too-large room she's in, as she eases her way toward the window at the other side of the room. A glance out the streak-free, crystal clear glass shows a garden down below with brightly colored flowers peppering her immediate view, and as she draws her gaze into the distance, there's lush grounds extending as far as she can see.
She spins on her heel, thinking she heard someone in the room with her, but there's no one there. Comforting, really. "Come on, Sneaky McHiderson, show yourself." She calls out to possibly no one. Hopefully no one. No one would be easier to deal with.
